THE MUSICAL STORY OF CASIMIR EKMAN

Casimir Ekman is known to be one of the best saxophone players in Finland. Having studied and performed with the best of the best, both in Helsinki and in Paris, he has collected a generous amount of skill both in jazz and popular music. Despite his young age Casimir Ekman is a renowned artist, promoting jazz music around Europe. Under his belt are the prizes of Best soloist in the Finnish big band competition not only once, but twice, and most recently his musical contributions can be heard on the Grammy nominated record (2023) Remembering Bob Freedman- Ron Carter and the Jazzaar festival Big Band. Casimir Ekman is publishing his first record as a leader in september 2023 under the Bopcat label.
